Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SE-SW Wind Stength: F6-F4 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Rain at first Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Arrived at Shoreham to be greeted by howling SE winds, good swell and port
tack sailing. Rigged 4.7m and got out there. After a while the wind pretty
quickly swung onshore then carried on round towards SW. In the end a 90
degree swing while I was out there! It was then starboard tack cross on
with waves still angling in from the east. Weird. High tide shorebreak was
large, hollow and peeling to the west for a while. But wind dropped and I
rigged up to 5.5m and waited and waited!! Eventually it freshened up at 2pm
so that 5.5m and wave board was planing well with max effort. Still some
nice lumps of swell coming in. Most enjoyable. Called it a day at 3:30pm,
athough wind seemed to perk up again after that.
